James graduated in 2001 with his BSc(Hons) Podiatry degree from University College London (UCL), and since then has worked in both the private sector and the NHS where he currently holds the post of Advanced Specialist Podiatrist in Musculoskeletal Biomechanics and Gait Analysis. In 2004, he set up Ablefeet Ltd providing premium podiatry care for all, with his main area of interest in biomechanics and surgery. Since setting up the practice his wide-ranging sports expertise has allowed him to treat England and Wales National Lacrosse Players, sub 3 hour 15 min marathon runners, Ironman and Lanzarote Triathletes, Marathon des Sables (Sahara marathon) runners, mountaineers, national level hockey and rugby players as well as members of the British Army. He has also provided teaching to many podiatrists and physiotherapists.
James continues to challenge himself by maintaining the highest level of continued professional development by regularly attending courses, reading journal articles and contributing to on-line debates. This allows him to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the podiatry world and transfer this on to his own clinical practice.
James regularly receives referrals from local GPs, physiotherapists, orthopaedic surgeons, chiropractors, osteopaths as well as local coaches and personal trainers. He is happy to liaise with them throughout your treatment, thus ensuring that the best possible results are achieved.
